Answer to a question from Andrew Wilson, Orkney Island, regarding the minimum age required
to participate in the tempo and contry race in connection with Island Games 1999. Response: According to the IGA Consititution and Bye-Laws, from May 1998 point B29.6.7.2 and according to the Swedish Federation Competition Rules from 1998, on country roads, point 4 article 19, the cyclist has the right to participate in the Senior Class if his age is between 18-49 years during the current calender year and he has at competition licence. This means that the minimum age for participation in the 1999 cycle races is 18. Anyone whose 18th birthday falls during the calendar year 1999 is entitled to compete. |
