Technical Meeting
The first technical meeting ever in basketball. The meeting will take place Sunday 27th of June at 07.30.

Place for the meeting is BasketCentrum, Gutevägen 27, which is very close to the main arena. We hope every island can participate with the team manager.

Basketball in Gotland
Basketball is one of the young sports in the history of Island Games. It is very popular sport here on Gotland as well all around the world.

Compared to many other sports, basketball is a young sport on the island. It started 40 years ago in the high school and became one of the leading sports on Gotland in the seventies.

The Basketball competition will be played in Sävehallen, only 10 minutes walk from the Games Village, but there will of course be bus transportation available.

The event will be held according to the rules of FIBA, the International Basketball Federation.
