Ten Pin Bowling and Ladies Football There has been a lot of discussion during the last weeks if there should be a Ten Pin Bowling and a Ladies Football events in the NatWest Island Games on Gotland this summer or not. Those two sports did not attain enough interest from the Islands when the time limit for registering went out. According to the IGA Constitution "...no sport will be included in the Island Games unless entries are received form at least six Member Islands." and "...no event within a sport shall be included in the programme unless there are entrants from at least four Member Island Associations." Ten Pin Bowling has, so far, received entries from five member Islands, Ladies Football from only three Member Islands. Those sports should therefore not be included in the Games. However, there is still a possibility for the Ten Pin Bowling to take place as one Island still hasnt decided whether they are taking part or not. If they are, there will be six interested Islands at the Executive meeting in Shetland next month. A final decision about Ten Pin Bowling in the Gotland Games will be taken then. The Ladies Football will not be included in the Gotland Games as no more Member
Islands have shown interest to take part in the sport.
