The Information Group has set up an e-mail address for the NatWest Island Games 1999. The address is: islandgames@bigfoot.com

The aim of using e-mail is:

• to have a quick, easily accessible communication channel by which many recipients can be reached without difficulty
• to have a cheap and flexible way of disseminating and exchanging information

The target group is: the Island Games committees of the participating islands, the different sports, media, working groups on Gotland, other interested Internet users.

In the very near future, a form will be distributed to the different sport coordinators and to the sports and Island Games committees of the participating islands. With the data from the completed forms we will have a correct and up-to date register of addresses, including e-mail addresses, so that contacts and queries can be quickly passed on to the people concerned.

The point of using e-mail is that incoming mail can be forwarded to the concerned persons without delay, and that responsible staff will be able to reply and deal with matters within seven days. Incoming e-mail will be checked at least three times a week. It need hardly be said that e-mail will also be used to distribute information.
