Latest news from the Press Centre Allergies The Island Games doctor, Peter Ahlvin, reports that as many as thirteen competitors have been afflicted by allergic reactions since the games began. Participants from Greenland and the Faroes are slightly over-represented among these new allergy sufferers. These thirteen people were never allergic to anything in their homelands. It goes without saying that the competitors results are negatively affected by the allergies. They are being treated with medicines which are not on the list of doping substances, but which hamper the competitors in their performance. The allergy leads to breathing problems, and the medicine makes the competitors feel tired.Press centre |
