Practical information on Gotland

Accommodation
According to the statutes of the NatWest Island Games, the arrangers must try to create an "Olympic Village" atmosphere, so competitors will be quartered in the barracks of the Gotland Military Command (MKG) at Visborgsslätt. We will be using all five barracks, which have about a thousand beds. Besides this, some participants will be staying at Gustafsvik, Kneippbyn and Hamnhotellet (Harbour Hotel).

Meals
All meals except lunch will be served at the respective camps. Breakfast is served 07.00–09.00, dinner 15.00–22.00. You have breakfast and dinner at the place where you are quartered, on showing your authorization. You can have lunch anywhere you like at your own expense.

Bus transport
All participants will be bussed to their arenas, and there will be a ring line so that all participants can have the chance to get to other arenas to see their fellow islanders compete. The buses will run from the Games Village at Visborgsslätt.

Visby Airport
The Visby Airport's runway is 2,000 meters. A DC 9 with 160 seats is no problem and it can even take up to DC 10 if necessary.
