| Because of its unique cultural values, the Hanseatic Town of Visby was listed by UNESO as part of the World Heritage, on December 9th, 1995. This means that we have assumed responsability for preserving the town and handing it on to coming generations. In 1995 the World Heritage List included about 470 sites of special cultural and natural importance. |
