| At the General Meeting held in connection with the Island
Games on Jersey in 1997, two new islands were admitted to the Island Games organization.
They were Rhodes and the Cayman Islands, which means that there are now 22 members in the
IGA (International Island Games Association).
Iceland used to be a member but left the IGA at its own request in 1998. Bornholm was a member for a short time. The island was co-opted at the Island Games in Gibraltar, but has never taken part in any games and has now ceased to be a member. |
